Understanding international markets directly on-site
For 28 students, it becomes visible on-site how a Swiss industrial SME thinks, produces, and grows internationally. What otherwise remains theory suddenly becomes reality here.
“Anyone who wants to understand international markets must experience them directly,” says entrepreneur and partner Erwin Spichtig.
This is why Sandmaster regularly participates in the ASEAN tour of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) and welcomes students in Indonesia.
Mini finger hearts as a sign of this valuable exchange.
Global markets cannot be understood from textbooks alone.
The challenge lies in connecting economic relationships, cultural differences, and industrial reality.
Sandmaster consciously opens its doors—time and again.
Erwin Spichtig personally accompanies the exchange, from the Olten campus in Switzerland to the production site in Indonesia.
The students gain insights into:
- the establishment of a Swiss industrial SME in an international environment
- the combination of Swiss engineering and global production
- the concrete implementation in the ASEAN market
The visit is complemented by impressions from the economic environment: the fast-growing BSD City, a satellite city of Jakarta, as well as selected projects and real estate that make the region’s growth tangible.
Erwin Spichtig wants to highlight perspectives:
«It is enormously valuable to provide young, committed people with insights into real international business life. Cultivating this exchange is just as valuable. It opens up professional, cultural, and personal perspectives.»
Progress arises through exchange.
For Sandmaster, this means sharing knowledge and actively and continuously promoting international perspectives.
Because those who understand global connections develop better solutions.
And that is exactly what strengthens process reliability—worldwide.
