The C 80 MB was developed for applications where cutting tools are specifically prepared for subsequent PVD coatings.
The focus is on controlled edge rounding in the 10–30 µm range and the optimization of ground surfaces. This creates defined microgeometries that improve coating adhesion and increase tool life.
Defined workpiece guidance, precise nozzle guidance, and precisely controllable process parameters deliver reproducible results in the micrometer range.
The batch version is particularly suitable for processing heavy gear hobs as well as smaller tool types in smaller quantities.
Thanks to its modular design, the C 80 MB can be adapted to specific process requirements and workpiece geometries.
