Satellite micro-blasting system for productive series processing of rotationally symmetric cutting tools in the micrometer range.

The SRT 100 MB was developed for applications where cutting tools are specifically prepared for subsequent PVD coatings.

The focus is on controlled edge rounding in the 10–30 µm range and the optimization of ground surfaces. This creates defined microgeometries that improve coating adhesion and increase tool life.

Defined workpiece guidance, precise nozzle guidance, and precisely controllable process parameters deliver reproducible results in the micrometer range.

The satellite system enables a fast process sequence for a wide range of cutting tools: while workpieces are loaded and unloaded, the blasting and cleaning processes continue in parallel. This makes the system particularly suitable for medium batch sizes and cost-effective series production.

Thanks to its modular design, the SRT 100 MB can be adapted to specific process requirements and workpiece geometries.
